Using The Index
This index has several features to help you find the maps you need. Please take a few moments to read the following information on the Map index.

Start your search by selecting a state in the Main Index, or from selecting a region or state from the listing on the left.
Index Map After selecting a state you go to the state listing of 1° Blocks. To view a map of the state showing the blocks click this symbol at the top of the state listing.

To get a listing of the maps contained in a block click the block name. This listing is in alphabetical order of the maps contained in this 1° block.

To conduct a search by map name select the Search by Map Name tab below and enter the map name in the form to your left.

After you completed your search record the block in the Order Form and search for your next block.

Identifing the 1° Block
  The 1° blocks are identified by either there name or the latitude and longitude of the southeast corner. The example to the left shows the 1° block for Grand Junction West and the number identifing this block is 39109. Note the first two letters denote the latitude and the last three numbers refer to the longitude.
The DRG index lists these blocks by state in alphabetical order. Each state has a corresponding graphical index that shows the location and name of each 1° block. To find DRGs select a state from the main index.

Typical 1° blocks contain the following. Sixty four 7.5 minute quads at 1:24,000 scale (1" = 2,000'), two 60x30 minute quads at 1;100,000 scale and one 1°x2°quad at 1:250,000 scale.
